جلبت الحكومة الإسرائيلية مسيحيين صهاينة من جميع أنحاء العالم إلى الكنيست أمس الأحد ليتوسّلوا إلى الله أن يغفر لأوطانهم لأنها لم تقدّم دعماً كافياً لإسرائيل. جاء ذلك خلال النسخة العاشرة من فعالية «فطور الصلاة من أجل القدس»، بمشاركة مشرّعين إسرائيليين ومسؤولين حكوميين وقادة مسيحيين من 38 دولة، في حدث خُصّص للتأكيد على الدعم المسيحي لإسرائيل والصلاة من أجلها.

وظهر مشاركون من ألمانيا وبريطانيا والصين وكوريا الجنوبية في مقاطع مصوّرة وهم يدعون الله إلى أن يغفر لأممهم «تقصيرها في دعم إسرائيل»، متعهّدين بتعزيز التضامن معها في المستقبل. وركّزت كلمات المتحدثين على اعتبار الصلاة جزءاً أساسياً من دعم إسرائيل، إذ وصفها عدد منهم بأنّها «خط الدفاع الأول» إلى جانب جنود الجيش الإسرائيلي والقوات الأمنية.

وجمعت الفعالية شخصيات سياسية ودينية من طوائف وبلدان مختلفة، في إطار ما وصفه المنظّمون بمبادرة لتعزيز العلاقات بين إسرائيل والحركات المسيحية الصهيونية حول العالم، والتي تُعدّ من أبرز الجهات الداعمة لإسرائيل، ولا سيّما في الولايات المتحدة وأميركا اللاتينية وأفريقيا.

On Sunday, the Israeli government hosted Christian Zionists from around the world at the Knesset, where they prayed and asked God to forgive their countries for not offering enough support to Israel. The gathering marked the 10th Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast and brought together Israeli lawmakers, government officials, and Christian leaders from 38 countries. The event focused on showcasing Christian support for Israel and offering prayers for it.

Videos showed participants from Germany, Britain, China and South Korea praying for God to forgive their countries for not supporting Israel enough, and pledging to strengthen their solidarity with Israel in the future. Speakers portrayed prayer as a central form of support for Israel, with some calling it the “first line of defense,” alongside Israeli soldiers and security forces.

The event brought together political and religious figures from various countries and denominations. Organizers said it was part of an initiative to strengthen ties between Israel and Christian Zionist movements around the world, some of Israel’s most prominent supporters, particularly in the United States, Latin America and Africa.
