A new controversy has erupted following the death of Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo and his wife, Lucy Muteke, in the September 30 helicopter crash. Zimbabwean authorities confirmed Chivayo’s death, while investigations into the crash continue. Reuters
Now Apostle Talent Chiwenga has released a dramatic new warning connected to Chivayo’s funeral, reportedly speaking about further danger surrounding people attending or returning from a funeral. His claims are a religious prophecy and have not been established as a factual prediction of future events. Tuko.co.ke - Kenya news.

The tragedy has also renewed debate around the prominent religious figures and churches associated with Chivayo. Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and Uebert Angel have publicly offered condolences to the Chivayo family, with Makandiwa also addressing questions about whether he had previously prophesied Chivayo’s death.

In this reaction and Christian commentary, we examine Chiwenga’s latest message, the responses surrounding Chivayo’s memorial and funeral, and the wider debate involving Uebert Angel, Emmanuel Makandiwa, Joshua Selman, Johane Masowe, ZCC and the Catholic Church.

Was this genuinely a prophetic warning—or are people connecting events only after the tragedy?
