In this short, I respond to someone who claims we should trust the church’s interpretation rather than reading Scripture for ourselves. I answer by pointing to Jesus’ own words—the parable of the man who builds his house on the rock versus the sand.

God’s Word is the solid foundation. Human interpretations—no matter how old or popular—are not. When the storms come, only what’s built on God’s Word stands.
