In this video, I break down Disney’s Hercules through a Christian lens and explain how Disney rewriting the myth actually brings it closer to biblical truth than the original Greek stories ever were.

I look at how Christians historically approached Greek mythology, compare Greek gods and titans to the Bible, and show the wild overlaps between myths, fallen angels, giants, Tartarus, and more. Then I explore the intentional Christian influence behind the movie—Hades as a Satan figure, Hercules as a Christ-archetype, Meg as a Delilah parallel, and the “Go the Distance” theme lining up with Scripture. Finally, I address the movie’s dangerous message about achieving godhood through works, and how that mirrors false religions today.
