The church with a connection to the name "Dresden" in Stoke-on-Trent is the Church of the Resurrection in the Dresden area of Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. This church was built on land donated by the Duke of Sutherland in 1853, to designs by George Gilbert Scott, and was later extended in the 1860s and 1870s. The area itself, now known as Dresden, was developed in the mid-19th century by a housing society on land that was once part of the Duke of Sutherland's estate #oldchurches #christian #christianity #religion #dresden #stokeontrent #shortsvideo #ww1 #walkthrough #2025 #heritage #history
