Today marks Palm Sunday, which is the beginning of Holy Week.

This year, key observances like the Palm Sunday procession have been cancelled or postponed in Jerusalem due to the ongoing war in Iran.

But restrictions on Christian worship here are not new. Many Palestinian Christians in the West Bank are denied access to their holy sites due to Israeli restrictions.

For one of the world’s oldest Christian communities, their presence in the Holy Land is increasingly under threat: from occupation, land loss and settler violence.
