My name is Zahi Shaked. I am a licensed tour guide and a YouTuber.

Recently, a couple from Canada reached out to me. They shared their deep pain and hope as they try to bring their first child into the world, without success so far. Their story touched me immediately, because I remember my own journey. It took a long time until I was blessed with my only daughter, Lior.

In this video, beyond my visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, I chose to walk a more personal and spiritual path through Jerusalem.

I went to the place where, according to Christian tradition, Mary was born. I visited Church of Saint Anne, and also the nearby Greek Orthodox site that commemorates her birth. These are sacred places filled with centuries of faith, prayer, and quiet hope.

From there, I continued to the Golden Gate, where, according to tradition, Mary’s parents, Joachim and Anne, met after receiving the joyful news that they would have a child.

I stood on the Mount of Olives, overlooking the Christian landscape of churches and history, and made my way toward the southern walls of the Temple Mount. Every step in Jerusalem carries layers of belief, longing, and human stories.

Today, I ask something simple from you.

Please take a moment, wherever you are in the world, to send your prayers, your thoughts, or your positive energy to this couple. May they soon receive the news they are waiting for. May hope turn into life.

Jerusalem has always been a place where heaven and earth feel close. Perhaps together, through faith and intention, we can help bring light into their journey.
