"My Daughter Was Raped & Killed After I left Christianity for Islam" - Christian Revert Story

My name is Sarah, and this is my true story of faith, pain, loss, and redemption. I was born into a Christian family in London, raised in a Pentecostal church, and grew up active in Sunday school, choir, and Bible study. At 20, I became a single mother, but my parents and church stood by me. For years, I longed for marriage, but rejection and loneliness pushed me into a path I would later regret.

In desperation, I moved with my daughter to Birmingham, settled in Sparkhill, and was influenced by Muslims in the community. I abandoned my Christian faith, converted to Islam, and quickly married an Iranian Muslim man. At first, life felt secure, but everything changed when he took us to Mashhad, Iran. There, I discovered he had three other wives, and I was treated as the lowest. My daughter was taken from me and placed under strict Islamic training.

The unthinkable happened when I was told my daughter had died. Later, I learned she had been abused and killed after resisting an imam. Broken and guilty, I remembered Jesus and cried out for forgiveness. Then an earthquake struck Mashhad, bringing aid workers into the city. Among them was an old Jordanian friend from my UK college days. With her help, I escaped through a volunteer van, reached Jordan, and eventually returned to the UK.

Back in London, I reunited with my parents and church in tears. I rededicated my life to Christ, and today, I stand as a living testimony that Jesus restores lost years. My daughter’s life was not in vain. Through her, I found my way back to the cross.
