The king couldn’t sleep — because he knew Daniel was innocent.

Daniel was not a criminal. He was the king’s most trusted leader.
But a law had trapped the king, and guilt followed him into the night.

The Bible says the king refused food, and sleep fled from him.
At dawn, he rushed to the lions’ den and cried out,

“Daniel, servant of the living God — has your God been able to save you?”

A voice answered from the darkness:

“My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths.”

Daniel was lifted out, completely unharmed.

This part of the Daniel in the lions’ den story reveals a powerful truth:
human guilt cannot stop divine intervention.
