In 1571, the Ottoman Empire launched the largest fleet the world had ever seen, and Christian Europe was too divided to stop it. The kings said no. So Pope St. Pius V asked the little ones, and all of Christendom picked up their rosaries.

The Battle of Lepanto tells the story of one of the most important days in Christian history, told by Sally and her mother in their kitchen during October, the month of the Holy Rosary. Meet Pope St. Pius V, young Don Juan of Austria, and Niccolò, a Christian galley slave who prays a Hail Mary on every knot of his rope. Then see the victory that gave the Church the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, still celebrated every October 7th.

Stay after the credits for a surprise from Don Juan!
