Need Revival? These Verses Might Help You Break Through

We all know the pain of drifting away from Jesus—

That compromised heart; that sense of distance from God; that inner struggle to get back up again…

But how do we actually experience revival?

I think this is where so many get it wrong.

You see… I’m not waiting for revival to “hit.”

I am NOT going to sit around doing nothing, waiting passively for revival to come.

I’ve seen people predict “the next great revival” for 50 years—and it still hasn’t landed.

Instead, I believe God is calling us to WALK in revival.

God already promised us:

* ✝️ “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10)
* ???? “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness” (2 Peter 1:3)
* ???? “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

And now, God is calling us to:

* ???? “Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first” (Revelation 2:5)
* ????️ “Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him” (Matthew 3:3)!
* ???? “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord” (Acts 3:19)
* ???? “Fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands” (2 Timothy 1:6)
* ????️ “Be filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18)

Oftentimes, believers sit around praying for God to ‘zap’ us with some kind of spiritual high—

Meanwhile, we still haven’t:

* • repented of our sins,
* • returned to God,
* • submitted to His calling, or
* • begun seeking Him in the Word and prayer.

Fellow disciple, God is always ready to restore us.

But first, we need to come to the Restorer.

As Leonard Ravenhill said, “The only reason we don't have revival is because we are willing to live without it!”
