As Christians we have this hope, that whether we live or die, we shall someday be with the Lord in that beautiful place called Heaven. It is as certain as the promise Jesus made recorded in John 14:2&3: "In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."

But there is some confusion as to how we get there. Is it through the passage of death itself, the last enemy that will be destroyed, or through the secret rapture of the church, or what the Scriptures declare to be "the blessed hope": the resurrection of the dead and the gathering of the living saints at the glorious appearing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?
