This month we are taking a deeper dive into five key issues at the heart of Christian faith. Using familiar and less familiar Old Testament stories, we are exploring these “heart and soul” matters and how they impact daily life. This weekend our focus is on Salvation. Why are we so moved by stories of sacrifice? Because sacrificial love is our hope and our salvation. The idea that someone else would give of themselves for our sake speaks to our very core. This weekend we explore how Ruth’s sacrificial love and other powerful sacrifice stories point us to the ultimate saving act, Jesus’ death on the cross for our salvation.
