I have wondered at Your vast, and Your endless silent courts,
And at tender closer moments when You’ve shared in my own thoughts,
O, Shepherd of the galaxies, O Mason of the skies,
Your handbreadth spans the universe, yet deep within You lie!

Angels fly to do Your bidding, so would I if I had wings,
But You gave me hands and feet, and simple daily human things,
Yet I soar on my desire just to hear celestial themes,
You are closer than a heartbeat, You are dearer than my dreams!

O, Architect of heaven and the universe design,
Your pattern of perfection is the reason for all time,
Caretaker of my destiny and teacher of my mind,
Your love upholds the universe, with our own hearts entwined!
