Part 3H of Responding to Torahism: A Forensic Scriptural Defense examines Elijah, John the Baptist, Malachi 4, repentance, judgment, and the Torah call before Messiah comes.

This video asks a direct biblical question: Did the forerunner of Messiah prepare people to abandon Moses, or did he call Israel back to repentance before judgment?

Malachi’s final prophetic warning says, “Remember ye the law of Moses,” and then promises that Elijah will come before the great and dreadful Day of Yah. Luke 1 connects John the Baptist to that Elijah mission. Matthew 3 shows John preaching repentance, confession of sins, fruit worthy of repentance, and warning of coming wrath. Yeshua Himself identifies John as the Elijah who was to come.

This video argues that John did not preach Torah abolition. He prepared the way of Yeshua by calling people to repentance, obedience, and readiness before the coming Judge.

This section also addresses the claim that Torah practices are “permitted but not required.” The issue is not whether outward practices are allowed as private customs. The issue is whether men have authority to downgrade commandments of God into optional preferences.
