The Holy Rosary: Glorious Mysteries — Wednesday, April 1, 2026 | Wednesday of Holy Week

Today we pray the Holy Rosary with the Glorious Mysteries for Wednesday of Holy Week. In the liturgy, the prophet Isaiah speaks the third Servant Song — the Lord gives His Servant a listening heart and a tongue to comfort the weary, and even when struck, spat upon, and shamed, the Servant does not turn away, for the Lord God is His strength and His vindication. In the Gospel of Matthew, Judas Iscariot goes to the chief priests and negotiates the betrayal of Jesus for thirty pieces of silver, and at the Last Supper, Jesus reveals with sorrow and calm that the one who will hand Him over is eating from the same dish as He.

These readings reveal the patient love of Jesus — a love that is not broken by ingratitude, greed, or betrayal, but continues to serve, to speak, and to offer itself freely. As we contemplate the Glorious Mysteries, we bring our own sins of compromise, cowardice, and self-interest into the Heart of Jesus through Mary. We ask for the grace to hear and live His word: "The Lord God is my help; who will prove me wrong?" and to walk forward in fidelity, repentance, and renewed commitment to Christ. May this rosary help you choose Jesus above all earthly gain, carry your cross faithfully, and trust that He never abandons those who call upon Him.
