Her work also includes experience in batterer intervention and addressing patterns of abusive behavior. We're asking the uncomfortable questions:

Why can everyone else think he's wonderful while his wife is afraid of him?
What happens when control is wrapped in charisma—or manipulation is wrapped in Scripture?
When should church leaders intervene?
When should a pastor step aside?
Can someone be forgiven and still be disqualified from ministry?
When should a woman leave a church that refuses to hear her?
And how can pastors learn to recognize the warning signs before it's too late?

This is not about attacking the Church.

We love the Church.

But Jesus warned us about wolves among the flock. Loving the Church means being willing to recognize them, protect the vulnerable, and refuse to place the reputation of a ministry above the safety of the people God entrusted to it.
