Mike Todd Got the Trinity Wrong... AGAIN | Here's Why

Pastor Mike Todd of Transformation Church has made some concerning statements about the Trinity, particularly his claim that the Holy Spirit is the only person of the Godhead actively working on the earth today.

But is that what the Bible actually teaches?

In this video, we examine Mike Todd's understanding of the Trinity and compare his statements with Scripture. Does the Father no longer work on the earth? Is Jesus Christ somehow inactive because He ascended into heaven? Is the Holy Spirit the only divine person currently involved in the lives of believers?

These are serious theological questions that deserve biblical answers.

The historic Christian doctrine of the Trinity teaches that there is one God who eternally exists in three distinct, coequal, and coeternal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Although the three persons are distinct, they are not three separate gods, nor do they operate independently of one another. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit work inseparably in accomplishing God's divine purposes.

The Bible teaches:

???? John 5:17 — Jesus declares that His Father continues working and that He Himself is working.

???? Colossians 1:16–17 — Jesus Christ created all things, and in Him all things hold together.

???? Hebrews 1:3 — The Son continually upholds the universe by the word of His power.

???? Matthew 28:20 — Jesus promises to remain with His disciples until the end of the age.

???? John 14:16–17 — Jesus promises that the Father will send another Helper, the Holy Spirit.

???? John 14:23 — Jesus teaches that both He and the Father will make their home with those who love Him.

???? Romans 8:9–11 — Paul speaks of the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ, and Christ dwelling in believers.

???? Ephesians 1:3–14 — The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all involved in the work of salvation.

???? 1 Corinthians 12:4–6 — Paul describes the Spirit, the Lord, and God working in the church.

The Holy Spirit is absolutely active in the world today. He regenerates sinners, indwells believers, sanctifies Christians, distributes spiritual gifts, and glorifies Jesus Christ.

However, the Spirit's activity does not mean that the Father and Son have ceased working.

**The ascension of Jesus Christ does not mean the inactivity of Jesus Christ!**

In fact, Scripture teaches that Jesus continues to intercede for believers (Hebrews 7:25), reign as Lord (1 Corinthians 15:25), and sustain His creation (Colossians 1:17).

Likewise, the Father continues to exercise His providential care over creation and His people.

In this discussion, we address:

???? Mike Todd's statements about the Holy Spirit

???? What the Bible actually teaches about the Trinity

???? Why the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are equally God

???? The difference between the persons of the Trinity and their distinct missions

???? Why Jesus is still active after His ascension

???? How all three persons work inseparably

???? The importance of theological accuracy in the pulpit

???? Why Christians must test every teaching against Scripture

This discussion is not about denying the work of the Holy Spirit. It is about defending the biblical doctrine of God.

Pastors have a responsibility to handle God's Word accurately, especially when teaching foundational Christian doctrines.

A misunderstanding of the Trinity can produce serious confusion about the nature of God, the person of Jesus Christ, and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit.
